We also specialise in dance portraiture and have a wealth of experience in this field enabling Blue Note to capture a unique image that will become a family heirloom.

We have a $90 sitting fee with no minimum number of prints to buy. In fact, we give you a credit so the first $90 of prints are yours for free. The same prices apply to all Blue Note studio portraiture whether it's couples, families, newborns or dance. A good photographer must be able to balance the technical necessities with the aesthetic elements and above all, they must love photography. Blue Note owner Paul has picked up a camera almost every day for the past 21 years and has plied his trade in a number of photographic fields. Paul's career has seen the transition from film to digital and he has embraced this new technology incorporating an increasing amount of digital montaging into his work whilst maintaining fundamental principles learnt whilst shooting film.

"I stay fresh by working on a number of photographic pieces that are a little more experimental. These let me explore new techniques on my own terms that I can then bring to the table to enhance the work I carry out for my clients."

I am working toward holding an exhibition of a series of these images toward the end of 2011 which will hopefully become an annual event."
